Tyler Andersen received a Master of Arts degree in Rhetorical Studies from Idaho State University, where he was mentored by Dr. Bruce Loebs. He received a BS in Communication from Brigham Young University-Idaho. As an undergraduate, Tyler worked as an a news anchor for KBYI 94.3 FM, where he broadcasted the BYU-Idaho’s weekly devotionals and daily news stories. His interest in Mormon Studies was nurtured by frequent visits to the David O. McKay Library and as an active participant in the BYU-Idaho Philosophical Society.
Tyler is an Adjunct Instructor of Communication at Tarrant County College in Fort Worth, Texas. His academic work addresses rhetoric-oriented case studies surrounding various events in American history, contemporary American politics, and notable religious movements. A social pundit at heart, his editorials have appeared in the Upper Valley Standard Journal, Idaho State Journal, and Idaho Falls Magazine.
Tyler and his wife Kacey are the parents of two children.
