Mark Thomas is the author of numerous articles, speeches, and a book on the Book of Mormon. He is formerly the Scriptural Studies Editor for Dialogue: A Journal of Mormon Thought. Mark is currently working on a book entitled The Mormon Annotated Isaiah: A Mormon Midrash, expected to be released in 2019. He has recently written a series of articles on religion and the environment for Sunstone Magazine.
Mark spent his career in public finance, and has been involved in financings for public projects throughout the western United States. He has also served as the Director of Field Studies at the Marriott School of Management at Brigham Young University, and, later, at the Huntsman School of Business at Utah State University. Mark is a violist, formerly a member of the Salt Lake Symphony, and currently active in a string quartet. His favorite musical piece is Bach’s Chaconne (BWV 1004) for solo violin.
